I am a twelve year old girl. I get acne mostly on my forehead (mainly between my eyebrows), near my nose and on my chin. My nose is really oily too, i dont know why! I have used nutregena oil-free acne wash, nutregena rapid clear, and clearasil daily face wash, but all of them either did nothing, or made my acne worse, or dried out my skin! Right now all i am doing is washing my face with plain soap daily. It helps somewhat. My mom wotn let me use any zit cream or anything, only face washes, because she says the other stuff will dry out my skin. What is some things i can do to get rid of my oily skin and acne without drying out my skin?. Nothign too expensive, i cant afford proactive or any of that stuff. preferably natural.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks that worked well for you to reduce the swelling in a pimple within a day or so? Tomorrow is the first day of school for me and I’d rather people don’t remember me on my first day of high school as ‘the girl with the huge zit.’ Thanks for any and all help!
I just wanted to add that I use a face soap with 10% benzoyl peroxide (I use that twice a day) and Tazorac cream every night.

Acne light therapy is a safe, completely natural method of treatment that you can do on your own, in the privacy of your own home. Simply set up blue and red lamps and ‘bathe’ in the light just as you would in a tanning booth. You can use both colored lamps at the same time and it only requires 15 minutes each day. Over the years studies have suggested everything from chocolate, candy, fried foods, sugar, drinking water, orange juice to milk can cause you to develop acne or make existing acne worse. However there is no scientific evidence to support any such results. There are so many factors effecting acne development that it is very difficult to isolate any one cause. So whether or not to avoid certain foods or drinks is really just an individual preference. If you find your skin reacts negatively to certain foods, then just don t eat or drink it. Acne skin care products can be very inexpensive, or very expensive, depending on what you are buying. Just because a product is expensive does not mean that it will work. However, the products that do work usually are expensive. Do your research, and purchase products that have a proven track record. This doesn t mean that the product will necessarily work for you, but the chances of it working are improved, because it has been scientifically proven to be effective for the majority of the people who use it. In the case of severer forms of acne, dermatologists may prescribe the less physically invasive route of oral medicine. Some common antibiotics, used to curb the development of the P. acnes bacteria and reduce inflammation are doxycycline, tetracycline and minocyclyine. The common topical, benzoyl peroxide, may be used with antibiotics such as sulfur, erythromycin or clindamycin. There can be disturbing side affects to antibiotics, depending on the drug and the individual s sensitivity. Changes in skin color, an increased propensity for sunburns, dizziness, and stomach problems can occur. Tetracycline is contra- indicated in children and pregnant women. The antibiotic route must be taken with caution and with awareness of problems. Substances such as minocycline and tetracycline can even affect the potency of oral birth control methods. Herbal alternative, holistic remedy, nature’s way whatever you call it, natural treatment is one of the most successful cures for acne. My mom keeps saying that its because I'm dirty and that I dont wash my fash good. I used a cleanser and srub everyday. I used to have acne long time ago too but then I started using proactive and it got better. My skin was really good and I thought I didnt have to use Proctive anymore. Like 2-3 days after I started seeing my acne. I didnt want use Proactive again cus I heard it can damage yur skin and it has a chemica in it that makes your skin addicted to it. So what should i do?

I have a cousin who has flawless skin and her only problem is that her nose often gets red from blemishes or zits. She nevers gets any zit from any part of her face except on the tip of her nose. She's 20 and she's afraid of putting anything on her face.

What remedies can she do to prevent those? It's embarassing her. She's often called Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer because of this.

Advices? Opinions. Thanks.
