you may want to ask your family doc if he can call in a prescription. most cystic acne will not respond to over the counter treatments. ask him if you can try evoclin foam…it’s literally a foam that you put on your skin that is an antibiotic. it kills the bacteria that form the cyst and works VERY quickly. i have had problems with cystic acne and it has worked very well for me in the past.
where on ur face the best thing to do is leave it alone
Okay kitten, this is NOT a cyst. It IS an infection that grew because you wont leave it alone. Thats okay , we all do the same thing (c; *wink* The chemicals you are using are ALSO making it worse by giving you CHEMICAL burns on top of the problem area.
Do you get skin reactions to foods? I get what you have when I eat chocolate )c: OOOOH POOOOOOR MEEE! LOL, just kidding . Okay, I know the mini cysts ARE PAINFUL and leave scaring . Now you want to buy the NEOsporin and apply a couple of times a day. OTHERWISE keep YOU fingers OFF it. It should clear up with in a few days if you QUIT making it worse.
The more aggressive you get with topical treatments, the more irritated your skin is likely to get. I’m not sure how long you’ve had the cyst but it sounds like within a short period of time you’ve used all these treatments.
I know you can’t go to a dermatologist but your general physician or pediatrician will be able to prescribe an antibiotic for you. Have you ever tried doxycycline? Minocycline? These are antibiotics most commonly used for cystic acne. Make an appointment now and stop using every treatment you can think of to get rid of it because you’re making it worse.
Be consistent in using your acne medication — not just when you get a breakout but all the time. Second remember to be gentle with your skin. Choose a gentle cleanser (cetaphil for oily skin) and use a topical at night. When using topicals you have to gradually build up your skin’s tolerance of the product. You cannot begin using the treatment several times a day everyday because your skin won’t handle it well.
