How do proactiv and other acne treatments bleach your hair and skin?
I аm currently using a acne product аnd οn thе back іѕ ѕауѕ thаt іt mау bleach уουr hair οr eyebrows аnd οthеr stuff. Hοw dοеѕ іt bleach уουr skin аnd hair? Dοеѕ іt bleach іt whеn уου don’t wash іt οff completely οr іѕ іt another reason?

what product are you using? If your using the murad I suggested it shouldn’t say that I don’t think. It never bleached me. If your using proactiv and stuff then yes. Remember when I told you about how most acne treatments contain benzoyl peroxide? This ingredient can bleach your hair and is VERY harsh and over-drying to your skin. That’s why I suggest the Murad Acne Complex Kit. NOTHING in it contains benzoyl peroxide and unlike Proactiv and other acne treatments it cures ALL skin types, not just some.

Peroxide bleaching works by oxidizing the color pigments.
It doesn’t immediately bleach your hair but it will bleach your towels. I used proactiv all of last year and it never altered the color of my hair or eyebrows but it destroyed face cloths.

Trouble is, peroxide bleaches things.
i wondered the same thing i found out it was peroxide…
it makes your skin whiter because it acts against your melanin (dark skin pigmentation), so you wont ‘tan’ and your skin will be whiter (or redder since you get burnt because your skin is white).
im guessing you get melanin in the hair that colours it and that is why it bleeches your hair also…

i use proactiv it doesnt bleach my hair or eyebrows, but it bleaches my towels, so i have 1 nasty towel i use just for that.
its because there is peroxide in it, which is a bleaching agent.
