If my period finally regulates, and starts coming every month on the dot, will my hormonal acne clear up?
I’ve hаd acne fοr years now, аnd over thе past 6 months іt’s gotten severe. I саn’t even look аt myself without makeup οn, аnd I thіnk without аll οf thе acne I сουld bе pretty. I gοt mу period thе first time whеn I wаѕ 12, thе second time whеn I јυѕt turned 13, аnd I јυѕt gοt іt again. It’s bееn аbουt 4 months ѕіnсе I gοt mу last period. Whеn thеу come, thеу′re usually heavy аnd аbουt a week long. Mу acne іѕ cause mу a hormone imbalance, аnd nothing seems tο hеlр іt. If mу period ѕtаrtѕ tο regulate, dοеѕ thаt mean mу hormones аrе balancing out? And іf ѕο, wουld іt clear up mу acne?

Basically when a girl goes through puberty there are more hormones present than when a boy goes through puberty and therefore girls are more likely to get spots (although more guys do because they are unclean). You will see that your acne will begin to clear, although it is very important that you stay clean throughout puberty. And until you are certain that it has finished.
i have a friend that had really harsh acne and her period was irregular at first but once it regulated her acne slowly went away. but every girls body is different and what worked for one may not work for another.
It may be that the same hormone imbalance that is causing your acne is causing the irregular periods. It may be that when they regulate, the acne will go away. But if the periods don’t regulate, the acne may continue. Look up polycystic ovarian syndrome and see if some of the symptoms match. If so see the endocrinologist or the dermatologist. They can do labs to confirm and treat. If you have it and treat it may regulate the cycles and help the acne.
Hard to say – your residual acne could spread and be there all the time. So focus on getting rid of acne using simple methods.
Sensible diet, good hygiene and low stress should keep acne away. Use great OTC acne products like “Niapads”, “Cetaphil” etc that are simple and easy to use. The most effective product is one that is “simple” to use™. Multi-step treatments are difficult to follow and prolong acne.
For eg – with Niapads (Nicotinamide acne pads) you can cut a piece, wet it with water and place it on the pimple. Active ingredients in Niapads penetrate the skin and provide acne relief. They also are effective in reducing skin hyperpigmentation (acne scars).
Use the gentle scrubbing action for pore cleansing, exfoliation and overall acne relief. Contains Lavender oil – well known moisturizer. Niapads worked for me, try it.
