I’ve had that problem with every kit that contains to much Salicylic acid and/or Benzoyl Peroxide, like clean and clear and not i don’t think it should dry out your skin. When every product in a kit contains one of these ingredients don’t by it, it will dry out your skin!
Salicylic acid is supposed to get rid of old cells that can clog pores. When you use Salicylic acid use it in a scrub because scrubs are supposed to get rid of old skin (like st Ives apricot scrub) it helps isn’t as drying.
Benzoyl Peroxide is supposed to kill bacteria that clog pores. I only use Benzoyl Peroxide as a treatment because it can be very drying over large areas on the face. Use 2.5% to 5% benzoyl beroxide because your face must be sensitive to it and only apply to the areas that really get pimples. Don’t forget it can bleach towels and pillows but not always.
So you have a scrub and a treatment, now you need a cleanser and a moisturizer. I would use natural to orgainic products that are very gentle and do not contain acne finding chemicals that will dry out your skin, because you already have a scrub and treatment that will take care of your acne. Other great ance fighting pruducts are pruducts that contant sulfur (like DDF’s mask at sephora), I love sulfur it absorbs oil and doesn’t dry out your skin. I would also use Nature’s Cure Acne pill and cream with 5% Benzoyl peroxide. The vitamin helps with the acne breakout you may have once a month and the cream you can use as your treatment.
Be careful about how often you use the ance fighting products like the mask one day and the next day use the scrub. Hope that helped!
