I have a small bottle of tea tree oil that I use to treat piercing bumps and I found it to be really effective. Will tea tree oil be just as effective on pimples? I have a big red pimple on my face and I am a little wary of what will happen if I dab some on it. Will it leave marks or can it make the redness go away?

Also I have some old acne scars from my teenage years.

What really gets rid of acne? Is it diet, is it a prescription pill or cream? Do any of the OTCs work?

my skin is clear for the most part, but occasionally i’ll get a really huge cyst-like pimple (usually on my nose). right now i have one at the tip that is very red and big (i’d say about a 1cm in diameter), and it’s always in the same place as prior cyst-like pimple. they say cysts are usually for severe acne, but my forehead, cheeks, and for the most part my chin are always clear. i tried to get a referral to see a dermatologist, but the nurse said my acne was not serious and gave me a random prescription but the cysts have not stop coming and form every 6 weeks or so. does anyone know of products/remedies to keep these cysts off my nose. it’s really embarrassing, especially since the rest of my skin is really clear, bringing more focus onto this massive hill on my nose.

i’m buying tea tree oil right now. i hear it dries out the skin a lot and makes it redder, is there a method to avoid this? for example, do i put it directly on the pimple or should i dilute it with something else?

im 20 years old, male. have minor acne… nothing major but it is there.

i do have very sensitive and dry skin. i read online that for sensitive skin, its better to use a cream? And im not real big on products or skin care so I’m not sure which thing to check out and buy.

i have heard good things about clean and clear but looking for suggestions. thanks
