Well i am allergic to dairy and my dr said that is the way my allergy works its way out of my system by getting a cold sore on my lip. Ususally around holidays that you get chocolate, that when i get them. makes sense chocolate= dairy. Anyways i used abreva when it first came out and it scared my lip and now when i look in the mirror one side of my arch is lower than the other from healing with the abreva. I havent used it sence. And using lipstick makes the scar stand right out so be careful. I get them all the time.
