I use to have severe acne. I pierced q few of my spot in my younger years. Now I have many acne scars I’d like to get rid of. Any suggestions?
I’ve been suffering from acne for 4 years. Last year i wasn’t much knowledgeable about acne or their meds.My doc never told me to go in the sun with benzyl peroxide so I did. I broke out with huge cysts. It was painful. My whole face was filled with acne and deep acne scars. End of last year it started to get better. But now it’s worse. I took everything from Minocycline, Benzaclin, Differin, Proactive, Doxycline, Tazorac, Duac, sulfur washes, natural herbs, etc. I dont want to take Accutane b/c its very strong there’s no guarantee it will stop my acne forever b/c its mostly about my hormones. Whenever I’m about to get my period i breakout with huge cysts. So i don’t know how accutane will help my hormones only my oil glands. All dermatologists i’ve been to have not been helpful at all. Lately my hormones have been acting funny. My whole life since i was 12 my period came exactly on time, i had no problems. A month before i turned 18 my hormones started to act up. I missed my period, then it started coming late etc. I don’t know what’s happening inside my body. I have tried everything and my face looks diseased or something. I get stares, i don’t look myself in the mirror, it hurts to touch my face. My family/friends all make fun of me. Every time i do look in the mirror i end up crying a lot. I’ve given up, it seems like i have to live with it, i don’t think there is a cure my kind of acne. I don’t know what to do anymore.
I love my boyfriend to death but theres one thing that i dont really like about him, he has A LOT of acne….and i know it will eventually go away but i dont want him having acne scars as we get older. Is there a way to "imply" that he should use an acne treatment like proactiv without being rude about it?
I have very embarassing acne scars on my chin and face, I popped all my pimples and I’ve learned my lesson =/
but what works better?
Mederma, or Vitamin E Cream, or what do you guys suggest?
My face is:
- combination (oily t-zone, and dry-normal cheeks)
- many blackheads around nose
- pores are slightly visible
- acne scars
- slightly sensitive skin
- mild acne (no cysts, very few papules, nodules, blackheads)
which one would work better for my skin and please list pros and cons of these acne products (kits). thank you! (:
