For a few months, i had moderate acne…i keep getting large cysts on my left cheeks and several pimples over my face…

But, when i when to a dermatologist, i finally knew what i was doing wrong…

Step 1: This is the most IMPORTANT step, do NOT i repeat do NOT ever use a facial cleanser that irritates your skin, even if it labels itself a "mild" cleanser…use one that is suitable for you…

what i mean by irritate? peeling of skin and redness are the things to look out for…it will only worsen your pimples and make them sensitive to sunlight…

step 2: Use a toner to close up the pores, if you have big pores, then your pimples will be big and filled with pus…if you close them up them most lkely they will be small in the worst extent…

good luck…

I don’t want to waste my time seeing a dermatologist if I can skip that and just see a dr who can prescribe me something like Spironolactone, that is supposedly used to block testosterone which causes breakouts in women.
Don’t have insurance or a regular dr. What kind of dr would specialize in hormonal issues? Could a GP prescribe something like this?

Help! I’m 15 and I have acne (comedones ) on my forehead and sides of my face and t-zone area. I eat right, drink 8 glasses of water a day and exercise daily and it won’t get better. I even been going to a dermatologist for over a year and nothing works. I am getting so frustrated!!!!!! Will I aways have acne? It’s not fair!!!!
Will I ever have clear skin?

I have really bad blackheads on my nose, and I’ve had them for quite a while. Does Proactiv actually work, or should I just visit a dermatologist?

I have mid-moderate "ice pick" scaring along my cheeks from hormonal acne. I just went to my dermatologist, and they told me a procedure that give me perfect skin - a lazer procedure for ,500 bucks, and I would look like a burn victim for a few months. Well - that’s not an option. Anyway had success with things like mederma or copper peptides for these types of scars - or other things?
