I have moderate acne, and I’m a 16 year old girl. People say all different things about how to prevent and get rid of acne, like, "cleanse, tone, and moisturize" or, like my mother, "just soap and water", or else, "use tea tree oil" or whatever other specific ingredient they believe in. What’s the truth?

Also, how do you get rid of the hyperpigmentation? It seems like after every pimple I have a lasting red mark.

Hi, im a 23 year old male and i have been struggleing with acne for the past 5 years. I have tried virtually everything out there, from over-the-counter solutions, scrubbing pads, creams, to doctors prescriptions and antibiotics and "light" treatments at my dermatoligist office. Its been almost two years and i cant seem to get rid of them. It seems like i’am the only one with this problem, since no matter what i do, (not to mention how much time and money i have spent), i still live with this problem which continues to tear down my self-esteem. I live in So. Cali. in the Palm Srings area, i need help. Can someone who really understands what im going through tell me what they did differently, and no longer have to worry about waking up with one pimple in their face anymore?

Can it be painful when you touch a cyst? My mom and all my siblings got cysts. I think I might have gotten one on m forehead, but how am I sure if it’s a cyst or a pimple? I don’t have acne problems, and it’s kind of big. Been there for 3 days. Opinions?

It started slowly but now his entire chin is covered in huge pimple looking things, and he gets them around his eyes sometimes. I am starting to worry that maybe it isnt acne. Any Ideas?
