Like your in your teen years and thats the reason you have acne.
i hope you understand what i mean!

i am almost 13 now. and i have had acne since i was about 9. then, it was just a few blackheads on my chin. but my dad took me to the dermatologist and she gave me very strong medication that totally dried out and ruined my skin. i tried to be my own doctor…but that didnt work too well. i have pretty sensitive skin. now i have blackheads all over my chin, nose, lightly on my cheeks. i have had cysts and pustules, nodules etc. everything but white heads, pretty much. i have red PIH left over from old pimples…but they stay read and a little inflamed for a while and then just come back. li have been on proactiv, and it made everything worse. i am really ready to try something else and to have clear skin.

so basicallly…

i am reluctant to go back to the dermatologist because i am scared that they will put me on very strong perscription again. but maybe i should…??? or i could get an extraction facial and just start fresh on a new regimen?

i was looking at clinique acne system, the body shop’s acne line, any other suggestions?

I have had acne forever. It’s hormonal. I usually have a regimen involving the use of proactiv and retin-a at night along with birth control pills. I stopped using all of these right before conception when I was trying. Now pregnant I cannot take birth control or use retin-a. I don’t know the safety of proactiv while pregnant. So I have been using nothing but mild soap.

Now, my acne is horrific again. I mean, BAD. I have cysts and blackheads and whiteheads and pizza face. It’s not only ugly but it’s painful.

This is not one of these kinds of acne one can "sit out" as it can cause severe scarring and infections in the boils/cysts.

Is it safe to use Proactiv while pregnant? Can you suggest any alternative topical treatments?

i’ve had acne for a few years. i’m 16 and started the birth control a few months ago in hopes of stopping my acne. before the b.c, it was never cystic and now it’s cystic. i’m in tears almost every night because i’m so frustrated with my face and this incessant struggle with acne. i’m using paula’s choice, an acne product system that works, but i’m developing cysts ever since i tried birth control. i’ve tried everything like proactiv and pills and creams but nothing works. accutane is my last resort. will it work? how long will it take?

*acne is only on the side of my forehead + jawline/cheeks. not chin/nose/center forehead. these cysts are painful too! a lot of my forehead/cheeks are scars, but theres 2 main groups of the bumps/cysts that are pissing me off*

i think i wanna buy proactiv. bc i cant afford to see a dermotoigist. i have sensitive skin.. big pores.. some stupid zits and blackheads!! please. if anyone has tryed proactiv that has or had a face like mine..did it work?? pls tell.. and help me to be on my way to clear face? thanks
