and what can i do to avoid zits on my scars.

Lately I’ve been having cystic acne (blind zits). I used to only get them about once per year, rarely twice per year. Since October I have had 6 of them. I’ve been on the pill for over a year and a half and I know they say BC is one way of helping the cysts. Is the medicine wearing off? I’m not on insurance so it’s not like I can just walk into a clinic and ask for Accutane, my budget is pretty slim as it is.

Are there any home sollutions that actually work on cystic acne? Because that’s all I’m looking for.

Don’t suggest Proactive, epsom salt, lemon juice, witch hazel, toothpaste, hot compress, popping (and yes I know you’re not supposed to pop cysts), eyedrops to get rids of redness, rubbing alcohol, face wash, exfoliant…I wash my face once, sometimes twice a day and exfoliate almost everyday since I have very dry skin. Will anything besides these work?
Why do I even get them if most of my skin is very dry? The parts that get oily aren’t really that oily. To me they are, but to other people it’s just the skins way of staying moisturized, because I’ve seen people with oily skin and mine is nowhere as bad as theirs. I don’t get it.

The amount of times I’ve popped them, whether cystic or not…I scar when I don’t pop them. So you’re wrong about the scarring, because I’m proof of it.
And if I had a tomato I would use it. Otherwise there is a bottle of OJ, a pitcher of filtered water, and a loaf of bread in my fridge, aside from condiments that’s pretty much it. So no tomatoes here…

i think i wanna buy proactiv. bc i cant afford to see a dermotoigist. i have sensitive skin.. big pores.. some stupid zits and blackheads!! please. if anyone has tryed proactiv that has or had a face like mine..did it work?? pls tell.. and help me to be on my way to clear face? thanks

I have hereditary cystic-acne. If you don’t know what that is, it’s when your acne/zits are so inflammed the skin forms cysts under the skin and a lot of the time the pimples are underneath the skin, forming these knots under the surface. Cystic acne leaves very bad acne scars too. I don’t have it as bad as other members in my family, but occasionally I get a nasty zit or two.

Do you know any/ Are there any over the counter acne meds that might work better than clearasil ointment?
