I had been using Cleasil skin perfecting wash for the bad acne I got after I had my IUD put in. So of course I recently found out it’s been discontinued, but if you can find it in the store still I suggest you give it a try. It is only about $4. And it worked right away to clear up my acne, make me old scars fade, and it helped my skin from turning red if I couldn’t resist trying to pop a zit to relieve it. I’m so mad it is discontinued! It works great from my "hormonal’ acne!
I have used Neutrogena since I have been having hormonal acne breakouts – and I am 36! So imagine how embarrassing it can be. It has done wonders, but I also heard that Clearsil is a good product too. I never used it, but it was my 2nd choice – if Neutrogena didnt work. Thankfully, I have it under control especially during my menstrual week. Helps tremendously! Also, my OBGYN recommended staying away from salty, fried foods + sodas. This also can help with breakouts. I heard that Yasmin BCP helps too. I am not on any BCP, so I can not verify from personal experience, just word of mouth. Good luck and hopefully, you will be able to manage the breakouts through recommendations
Hey girl!!
I rarely answer skin question, but i totally relate to yours!!
I had the same problem for YEARS since i was 13.. I started my periods at 11 and had a baby before i was 16. Now, It was mainly hormonal. Ignore all those OVER THE COUNTER answers.. OTC products do not work. Seriously. They help maintain but not clear. I did’nt wanna get on birth control either. I tried it it made me nuts. I had a short temper with my kids, and ended up getting off of it before my first pack was gone. Dont try it. You know what saved my life and skin?? Doxyciclin. Sorry if i mis-spelled i believe it’s correct though.. Its an anti biotic. My regular doctor prescribed it for a UTI i think.. anyways the first 2 days I took it my skin was completly cleared! And just glowing like i was pregnant lol. I swear.. I only had to do a 30 day cycle.. I went to my DERM and asked him about it and told him about my experience. After my 30 daycycle I have about 30 emergency pills. Just in case of a breakout but i really never have to use them.. I may take the day before my period.. I maintain my skin with Clinique soap bars. There like 10 dollars at Macy;s and last like 3 months. I put Avveno lotion on my face.. I hope this sheds a little light on your situation hun. Good Luck and I PROMISE this is worth trying. Oh and PS:: Most anti biotics give me yeast infections (another HORMONE thing) but these did not.. They are awesome!!
Good luck and God Bless,
;Leah;

It’s expensive, but the product DOES work.
My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.
I don’t have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.
