I have always had a problem with acne, in which I have tried sooooo many products, it’s ridiculous!! But, recently I tried this one: http://www.acnefree.com/node/86 and I have never had better luck. It is called AcneFree Severe System and you can get it at Walmart, CVS, drugstores, etc. I found it the cheapest at Walmart and I also got their mask to go with it. You can do it 3 times a week & I just love it!!
Wishing you all the best of luck with it!!
neutrogena
clinique 3 step system. if you go to a clinique counter they will make a program just for your skin type. you might notice more break outs right after you start using it but that’s just because its getting all the bad stuff out of your skin. after that, your skin is flawless, glowing, and healthy!! plus, its hypoallergenic and fragrance free!
Don’t fiddle with any of that. You don’t need anything else other than a good cleanser and tinted moisturizer to replace any foundation or powder that you may use.
A couple great drugstore tinted moisturizers are Kiss My Face tinted moisturizer or Walmart’s Hard Candy Sheer Envy. And the best facewash that I’ve ever used was Noxzema Anti-Bacterial Lathering Cleanser (triclosan medicated). You want an antibacterial cleanser to get rid of the surface bacteria on your face that causes acne. This cleanser should not over-dry your face or make it oily. It’s very nice.
Any of the toners or lotions, acne creams, etc. could irritate your skin and possibly make you break out even more. I wouldn’t use any of it. The tinted moisturizer will be just enough coverage to cover up what you have and condition your skin enough. May I also suggest that you drink lots and lots of water. Try drinking at least 5-7 bottles a day. That alone will help you greatly.
Try Netrogen facial cleansing bar for acne you can get it at any drugstore it is very cheap like three dollars. I have bad acne and blemishes and when I used it, it made my face cleaner and clearer each time I used it. Try it and see for yourself!
Drugstore skincare products (over-the-counter) don’t really work. If you can afford it, I suggest you check out some higher-end skin care products that are available through dermatologists.
A great all-in-one kit is this Glytone Acne treatment kit http://www.dermashoppe.com/Glytone-Acne-Treatment-Kit-p/atkgn.htm.
I hope that helps.
Acne
Maintain a routine. Most acne treatments take time to work. It usually takes between two and eight weeks before you see any significant improvement, so you are going to have to be patient. Once you’ve gotten your acne cleared up, it’s important to continue with the treatment that’s working so it does not return.
If all else fails, contact a doctor. Mild antibiotics that are available only by prescription can help reduce acne. Keep in mind though, that the widespread overuse (taking antibiotics when you really don’t need them or for something they don’t treat) and misuse (not taking medication for the specified amount of time) of antibiotics has led to the development of multiple antibiotic resistant bacteria. That means that the antibiotics won’t work for the things they used to (including your acne).
Keep hair off of your face if at all possible. If you want to keep your bangs, then consider taking showers regularly or keeping your forehead clean with oil-dabbing cloths / clean tissues / etc.
Get good sleep. Stress increases your skin’s oiliness, which, combined with sweat and dirt, can clog pores and cause pimples. (Change your pillowcase frequently.)
Acne medications may cause your skin to initially break out worse than before because all FDA-approved acne medications (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulphur ) are causing your skin to regenerate faster. This brings existing acne pimples already under your skin (but not visible yet) to the surface, which in turn causes a massive but fortunately temporary break out. Give the medications time to work — about one to two weeks — and you will notice a big difference in the quality of your skin.
