What is a good product for treating acne?
Mу dermatologist hаѕ recommended ProActive, tried thаt аnd used іt exactly аѕ directed-didn’t work. I’m οn аn oral contraceptive thаt іѕ supposed tο clear іt up-іt hаѕ a lіttlе, bυt thеrе іѕ still a significant amount οf acne thеrе. I’ve tried сlеаn аnd clear, ROC аnd Dermalogica…Everything seems tο yeild thе same results. I never hаd acne аѕ a teen, bυt whеn I turned 22- bam! іt hit mе. I’m nοt changing products rapidly еіthеr, I give thеm a gοοd 3-4 month span tο see іf anything wіll happen. I’ve аlѕο used Retin-A аnd οthеr percription medications. Whаt ѕhουld I dο? Hеlр! ![]()

You Can Always Try ConquerZit
I say watch your diet and drink plenty of water. The more chocolate i eat the more i break out. Sweat some to clean out your pores and I use antibacterial hand soap religiously on my face and I love the results I get from that, but acne has something to do with all those factors; hormones, health, exercise and cleaning technique. Good Luck.
ok well there is another thing like proactive called acne free (you can get it at your local drug store), proactive did not work for me either but this seems to be working….
also…
i know it sounds painful but whenever i get a sunburn or go tanning my skin clears up like that and for about 2 weeks too…. im usually out on the beach the entire summer so i dont even use my medication then so i suggest if you have the money (unlike me) to try tanning once a week to dry up your face

I have trouble with acne also and I learned a few things. One thing is to avoid treatments with benzol peroxide. It is a very harsh product and usually causes irritation and can make breakouts even worse. If you have naturally oily skin, one thing to do is moisturize your skin every day because if your skin feels like it’s getting too dry, it will increase oil production to over compensate. Drink lots of water, gently wash your face at least twice a day, especially right before you go to sleep (that’s when you skin rejuvinates itself), and never scrub your face.
I use Oxy pads at night and use a water (not petroleum) based gentle lotion and though my skin is not perfect, it’s much improved.
I was reading some of the other answers and someone suggested AcneFree. It contains a TON of benzol peroxide and cause me to breakout worse than any other time in my life. I usually have 2-3 bumps at a time, no more than 5, and when I used that, I counted 16. And because of that, I look like a heroin addict with all the scars it left on my face.
Yes ProActive is good and you have to use everyday like my brother he has bad ance and he used it everyday and now he has a clear face or like my cousin uses toothpate and it does work the toothpaste dries up the ance after that just rise the toothpast off and in days you will have a clear and pretty face like me im lucky and dont use nothing for my ance because i dont have any well good luck thats all i have to say from qunnieluv34
I use to have the same problem when I was 18. I had acne really bad and nothing would work. I probably tried every over the counter cream and it would just make it worse! I myself have also used Retin-A and it just dried my face out really bad, and being in the sun didn’t help any either so I hated it! I found that not using foundation helped it. I also just wash my face with water, even soap on my face will make me break out. The minute I stopped putting different products on my face and foundation I stopped breaking out. So it helps if you just use water and nothing else.
Well i have refered many friends to the Homeopathic treatment which is far more effective than the Proactive. Not only that it does not have any side effects too.If you want to know more about this product go to this blog :
